Het frietkot was vroeger een onopvallend klein kotje en hierbij kan je 'kotje' heel letterlijk nemen. Ik weet nog dat de hele straat er toen nog bijzonder vuil bij lag, alles was, om het op zijn Brussels te zeggen 'bric-à-brac'. Ook al was dit het geval, 's avonds laat en 's nachts stonden er nog rijen mensen te wachten op hun mitraillette, hamburger of hun pak friet. En dat is gebleven! De ruimte is nu op zijn minst 20 keer vergroot en het trekt een enorm pak toeristen aan. Ze hebben er zelfs een terras.
Ik vind het altijd een pluspunt als je je frietjes meekrijgt in een puntzak, een appetijtelijke verpakking voor een vettig goedje...

Guess what they serve here. I'm glad to say the oysters are as good as they should be, given the restaurants name. Offered in either a selection of cold or hot preparations, the only downside is that you have to order 6 or 12 of exactly the same kind. Flights of 3,6 and 12 would be much more interesting, dear O & C. The meaty mains including the pork chop are delicious and well presented. The steaks range from ribeye to sirloin and wagyu. All are prepared well but served as naked as a newborn. A little bit of accompaniment would balance their appearance upon the table with those of the other dishes. The fit out is cool. An upper level bar offers a great wine selection including Man O War and Cloudy Bay. The lower restaurant area is cozy enough and has a great view of the kitchen. It's a great place to visit with colleagues or hungry friends. One standout surprise that I would urge you to try for dessert is the whiskey bread and butter pudding - it almost steals the show!

Went here for a birthday lunch, it was lovely! Wait staff were friendly and informative, food was amazing and presented so beautifully. Of course the views are great being so high above the city (with the sky walk people walking right past the windows too!). All up a great experience, definitely worth visiting for lunch or dinner.

A great place to try lots of different foods and beers. Plus you can go out to the market or shop indoor for some local artisan gifts. Love the old building and meeting people was easy and fun. Highly reccomded for any foodie or the travler who wants out of chain resturant hell.

It was our first dinner in Vienna on the new year's day.
We found the restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try.
We ordered 2 glasses of wine(white/ red), a small salad, a dish of char and a lentil stew served with starch.
They were all fine, but not very much impressive.
Service was good with friendly English speaking waiters.
The atmosphere is great for a romantic dinner for couples.

In my experience it is rare for a non-vegetarian restaurant to pay so mush attention to mushrooms. Thankfully there is Cizne Azul. Try from many varieties, including "boletus," and you will be a believer. Dish after delicious dish on this quiet Monday. This is a gem in the neighborhood of Chueca!
